Seven Wonders of the World.

The New 7 Wonders of the World have been
announced during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on
Saturday, July 7, 2007 - 07.07.07.


1.Taj Mahal of Agra, IndiaThe Taj Mahal in Agra, India, which was
built by fifth Mughal emperor shah Jahan to honour the memory of his beloved
wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1630 AD;








2.Pyramid at Chichen, Itza, MexicoThe pyramid at
chichen itza, which is the remains of the most famous Mayan temple city that
served as the political and economic center of Mayan civilization inyucatan
peninsula, Mexico, built around 500 AD;


3.Machu Pichu,PeruThe Machu Picchu,a city built in the clouds on
the mountain in cuzco, peru between 1640 and 1470 AD;




4.Statue of Christ the Redeemer, BrazilThe Christ Redeemer ,a
38-meter tall statue of Jesus Christ atop the Corcovado mountain in rio de
Janeiro,brazil, built in 1931 AD;



5.Great wall of ChinaThe graet wall of china, constructed to link
existing fortification into a united defence system and keep invading mongal
tribes out of china, built in 220 BC and 1368 to 1644 AD;




6.Roman colosseum, ItalyThe roman colosseum, which is a great
amphitheatre in the center of rome, italy, constructed to celebrate the glory of
the roman empire, built between 70 and 82 AD;




7.Ruins of Petra, JordanThe petra, which was once the capital
of the nabataean empire of king aretas IV, built from 9BC to 40 AD in Jordan.
